1. Membership Eligibility

Membership of Chama Cha Ujenzi is open to any Kenyan citizen who meets all of the following conditions:

• Is aged 18 years or older at the time of registration
• Is a registered voter in Kenya or a Kenyan citizen in the diaspora
• Is not a member of any other political party registered under the Political Parties Act at the time of joining
• Has not been found guilty of a criminal offence involving fraud, dishonesty, or moral turpitude, unless a court determines otherwise
• Subscribes to the party's ideology, values, and constitution

Dual party membership is prohibited under the Political Parties Act (Cap. 7E). If you are currently a member of another party, you must formally resign through the ORPP IPPMS Self-Service Portal before joining Chama Cha Ujenzi.

2. Accuracy of Information

By submitting the membership registration form, you confirm and warrant that:

• All information provided is true, accurate, current, and complete
• The National ID number provided belongs to you and corresponds to your legal identity
• You are the person named in the registration form
• You will promptly notify the party of any changes to your personal information

Providing false, misleading, or fraudulent information in the membership registration form is a violation of these Terms and may result in cancellation of membership. It may also constitute a criminal offence under the Penal Code and the Political Parties Act.

3. Consent to Data Processing

By registering, you expressly consent to Chama Cha Ujenzi collecting and processing your personal data for the following purposes:

• Processing your membership registration and maintaining party membership records
• Submitting your data to the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) as required under the Political Parties Act for party registration and compliance
• Communicating with you about party news, events, and activities
• Internal party administration

Your data is processed in accordance with the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019. For full details, please read our Privacy Policy. You may withdraw your consent and request deletion of your data at any time by contacting our Data Protection Officer at dpo@ujenzi.ke.

4. Your Rights and Obligations as a Member

Your Rights

• To participate in party activities, meetings, and events
• To vote in party elections and primaries in accordance with the party constitution
• To be considered for party positions and nominations, subject to the party constitution
• To be treated with dignity and fairness by party officials and fellow members
• To access and correct your personal data held by the party
• To resign from the party at any time, subject to any statutory resignation procedures

Your Obligations

• To uphold the party's constitution, ideology, and code of conduct
• To pay any membership subscriptions or levies as determined by the party from time to time
• To respect fellow members, party officials, and members of the public
• Not to engage in conduct that brings the party into disrepute
• Not to belong to any other registered political party simultaneously
• To comply with all applicable laws of Kenya, including the Political Parties Act

5. Membership Suspension and Termination

Chama Cha Ujenzi reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership in the following circumstances:

• Provision of false or fraudulent registration information
• Simultaneous membership of another political party
• Conviction of a criminal offence
• Conduct grossly unbecoming of a party member
• Failure to comply with the party constitution or these Terms

Any disciplinary action will be conducted in accordance with the party constitution and the principles of natural justice, including the right to be heard.

6. Website Use

By accessing ujenzi.ke, you agree to:

• Use the website only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms
• Not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its systems
• Not submit automated, bot-generated, or fraudulent membership registrations
• Not use the website to transmit spam, malware, or harmful content
• Not scrape, copy, or reproduce website content without written permission

All content on ujenzi.ke — including text, logos, images, and design — is the intellectual property of Chama Cha Ujenzi and may not be reproduced without permission.

7. ORPP Compliance

Membership registration data collected through ujenzi.ke will be processed and submitted to the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) as required by the Political Parties Act for the purpose of achieving full party registration. By registering, you acknowledge and consent to this mandatory regulatory submission.

You can verify your party registration status at any time via the ORPP IPPMS Self-Service Portal.

8. Limitation of Liability

Chama Cha Ujenzi provides the ujenzi.ke website and membership services on an "as is" basis. While we take all reasonable steps to ensure accuracy and security, we do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the website beyond what is required by applicable Kenyan law.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.

10. Changes to These Terms

Chama Cha Ujenzi may amend these Terms from time to time. Any material changes will be communicated to members and published on this page with an updated effective date. Continued membership or use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
